Candidates
I am an Honours student at the University of Cape Town, specialising in Public Policy and Administration. My degree has equipped me with skills to analyse policies and their implementation. The work I have produced during my studies is evidence of my deep interest in the political state of South Africa.
Career Aspirations
I hope to work within South Africa's political arena, ideally within policy creation, implementation or evaluation and monitoring. I am interested in gaining experience within these sectors or within private project management where I would be able to affect the ways in which services are delivered and evaluate the effectivity of Implemented programmes.
Work & Volunteer Experience
Although I have limited work experience within the political field, I have engaged in extra-curricular activities to develop myself personally and professionally. I volunteer for the Golden Future Project's tutoring programme through UCT, where I tutor high school students in various subjects. Additionally, I make and sell hand-painted tote bags in my spare time. These activities have developed my leadership, interpersonal and customer service skills.
Other Interests
I enjoy reading, yoga and film photography, as well as painting and writing. These hobbies allow me time to take care of my mental health and create a sense of balance within my life.
